General Terms and Conditions of Sale for Sora Escapes

1. Scope

These Terms apply to retreats and multi-day experiences sold by Sora House under the "Sora Escape" concept.

Each Escape has its own booking information specifying the dates, location, accommodation, inclusions, price and practical arrangements.

2. Important legal classification

Depending on the services included and the manner in which they are combined and sold, a Sora Escape may fall within the French legal framework governing travel packages and/or linked travel arrangements.

Sora House will not represent that an Escape is outside that framework unless its legal structure has been reviewed and confirmed.

Where mandatory provisions of the French Tourism Code apply, those provisions take precedence over any conflicting provision of these Terms.

3. Description of the Escape

The specific Escape booking page and booking confirmation will specify:

• dates;

• destination;

• accommodation;

• number of nights;

• meals;

• activities;

• transfers;

• services included;

• services excluded;

• price;

• payment schedule;

• participant requirements.

4. Booking and deposit

A booking is confirmed once:

• the participant has completed the required registration;

• the participant has accepted the applicable contractual terms;

• the required deposit has been paid.

5. Payment

Payments must be made through the payment method indicated by Sora House.

Failure to pay an amount by its due date may result in cancellation of the booking, subject to applicable law and the specific cancellation terms.

6. What is included

Only the services expressly listed in the Escape description are included.

For example, depending on the Escape:

• accommodation;

• meals;

• programmed activities;

• local transfers;

• Sora House facilitation;

• workshops.

7. What is not included

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the following are not included:

• travel to the destination;

• personal expenses;

• travel insurance;

• personal medical expenses;

• services not expressly listed as included.

8. Accommodation

Accommodation is provided according to the description of the relevant Escape.

Room allocation and sharing arrangements will be communicated before or during the retreat.

Participants must respect the accommodation provider's rules.

Any damage caused intentionally or through serious negligence may be charged to the responsible participant, subject to applicable law.

9. Activities

Activities may include physical, outdoor or nature-based activities.

The programme may be modified for safety, weather, operational or other legitimate reasons.

Sora House may replace an activity with a comparable alternative where reasonably necessary.

10. Cancellation by the participant

The applicable cancellation schedule will be communicated before booking.

For Sora Escapes, the proposed cancellation policy is:

• more than 30 days before arrival: full refund;

• less than 30 days before arrival: 50% refund;

• after the balance payment deadline: no refund.

Where a refund is due, the refund will be processed according to the applicable terms and applicable mandatory law.

11. Cancellation by Sora House

Sora House may cancel an Escape where circumstances make the Escape impossible or unsafe, including where the minimum number of participants is not reached if such minimum is specified in the booking conditions.

Where Sora House cancels, the participant will receive the remedy required by the applicable contractual and legal framework.

Any additional personal expenses, such as independently booked flights, accommodation or transport, will only be reimbursed where required by applicable law or expressly agreed.

12. Changes to the programme

Sora House may make reasonable changes to:

• activities;

• schedules;

• routes;

• restaurants;

• suppliers;

• accommodation arrangements;

where necessary for safety, operational reasons or circumstances beyond Sora House's reasonable control.

Sora House will seek to preserve the overall nature and value of the Escape.

13. Participant responsibilities

Participants agree to:

• follow reasonable instructions;

• respect the other participants;

• respect the accommodation and environment;

• arrive at agreed meeting times;

• inform Sora House of relevant dietary or safety information;

• participate responsibly in physical activities.

14. Insurance

Participants are strongly encouraged to have appropriate personal travel and activity insurance covering, where relevant:

• medical expenses;

• personal accident;

• cancellation;

• interruption;

• personal belongings;

• outdoor activities.

Where insurance is legally required or specifically included as part of the Escape, the applicable requirements will be communicated before booking.

15. Emergency situations

If a participant experiences an emergency, Sora House may contact emergency services and/or the participant's emergency contact where reasonably necessary.

Participants authorize Sora House to take reasonable steps to protect their safety in an emergency, subject to applicable law.

16. Image and video

Photography and video may be produced during the Escape.

Any promotional use of identifiable participant images will be governed by the applicable image-rights consent.

17. Liability

Sora House's liability is governed by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Where third-party services are involved, the legal responsibilities of Sora House and the relevant provider will be determined according to the applicable contractual and legal framework.

18. Complaints

Participants should raise any issue as soon as reasonably possible during the Escape so that Sora House has an opportunity to address it.

19. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by French law, subject to mandatory provisions applicable to travel contracts, consumers and/or the destination concerned.
